how does the soundcraft spirit sx board rate in everyones books?
i am hoping to have a set up with the ability to record more than one track simaltaneously. i was previously looking at the yamaha mg24/14, but this has no directs so oi would have to use auxillary, groups, inserts and allsorts, and this is, in my mind a "messy" way about it.
i was looking also at the mackie 1604-VLZ Pro, as this does have, i think, 8 direct outs on the 1st 8 channels. the one problem with this board is that it costs great amounts of money!
so i went to look at soundcraft boards, and came across the spirit sx. this with, i think, 12 mono/line ins and 8 direct outs on the 1st 8 channles, quite similar to the mackie, but for less than half the price of the mackie.
i was wondering if anyone has used this board, or if anyone knew of soundcrafts repuation o quality etc, as this maybe a possibility for me!
