    where can i get PVC pipes and how much do they cost. i'm trying to build a vocal booth. how much PVC pipes do i need to get a good size vocal booth. what's the average amount of money spent to build a vocal booth using pvc pipes and soundproof blankets and do they work as good as real booths or not even close?

    I don't think you can find a PVC pipe large enough to use as a vocal booth. I think you would need at least a 3 to 4 foot diameter and I don't think I've ever seen it any larger than about 5 or 6 inches.

    Go here: Cheapest way to build vocal booth. There's at least 2 pages of info and pictures of the booth I built using PVC pipe and moving blankets...

    You can get PVC pipe in the plumbing section any home center, e.g. Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards (don't know if they're in Texas).

    They are REALLY cheap - the fittings are what cost the bucks.

    10 foot 2" tube is about $5 - each fitting is $2-4. How much it will cost depends on the design.
