Low End Mixing advice

I just thought that it was interesting that Boz got a similar curve by running a boost and a cut in parallel rather than in series. So he created a "mixer" with two different filters that summed instead of cascading filters.

Something else I do is I dip sharply the freq at somewhere around 300-350. This separates the mids and bass freqs so they have heir own space.

That Neutron clip was cool. Does anyone know of an EQ that has that inverse feature besides Neutron? That looks really handy.
They didn't HP the kick at all. Is that standard? I always HP mine around 40 to get the sub stuff out for rock type mixes.
