largest/most expensive mixer

Sure, the SSL Axiom. I'm not sure how much the Oxford goes for, but SSL 9000 J channel strips go for about $9000 per channel. Are you planning on buying one? Hehe.

Plenty of desks by Neve and Harrison, among others, that I wouldn't kick out of bed either... Hell, I'd settle for that nice cute little Libra...

Didn't someone here post a link to a mixer with tube pre's that would cost $500,000 for 24 channels? Or something?

I keep meaning to get a digital camera (but then I think about some audio piece i could get for the same money...) - maybe one of these days.

I can describe it:

Two adjacent rooms on the first floor of my house (only 8 foot ceilings, unfortunately). One room is control room at one end and grand piano at the other. Isoraxx and moveable gobos keep machine noise down. Room is about 23' x 11'. There is a 4'x 8' double pane window separating the two rooms at piano end so pianist can see drummer or whoever in adjacent room.

Second room is about same width, but is longer, and opens into the kitchen and front entry area.

I have a third floor loft with more interesting acoustics that I can use as a vocal (or horn) booth. Complete sound isolation from downstairs, but no visual line of sight.
