Hey in this video I show how to separate the kick and bass without changing the samples. This is one of many techniques but if you understand the psychology behind it, than there are no limits to what you can do. Of course picking the best samples is always preferred but sometimes engineers are stuck with less than desirable samples - we just gotta work with it.
I tried finding a kick and bass that lived in the same frequency region I showed how to give them their own unique space with using more than just a couple of EQ's.
