Hey guys I use fl studios daw, beats pro headphones, behringer audio interface. And I was wondering if you guys could help give advice on how to make my vocals fit in with the beat/instrumental I got from someone online because I compressed, eq, etc. the whole nine yards and it sounds really amateur, I am pretty sure its not my mic or anything because i did my research and i dropped a nice piece of change on it. Also not only does it sound really novice but its not as loud or "professional" sounding in the least bit, I would appreciate it if you guys could put your two cents into these issues im having, Great Thanks

Here are two songs that sound pretty good to my novice standards considering they record in home also:

It is quite necessary for you to post your track in order to make a judgment of any kind man. Without hearing yours there is nothing to compare to.

Thanks jimmy but i cant its just raw now, no plugins or nothing. Ive been looking all over, i just want to know how to mix my vocals so it can just sit in the beat like the links i posted did. and also the overall conversion was low sounding compared to anything you would hear from any artist big or small. by low sounding i mean by my volume level being max would sound like there volume 75 or something. i know its hard without the track but this is all i got jimmy

Well, the first thing you need to do when recording to a mastered 'beat' is to lower the level of that track so that you are not competing with it in your DAW. Pull down the gain on the backing track like 20dB and start from there man.

hey i ended up getting the multi track so i would be able to mix my vocals better but i am having trouble putting the instruments in fl 11
