help with saturation

What is the best process to fix a record with saturation? For a reference, i work with soundforge. And i just need some advice to fix a record that i made from a mixing table to and tape recorder machine. This recor is saturated. Im gonna digitilized that tape and i want it to sound better. I wish someone can lend me a hand. Thanks.
 
Is the sound distorting? It's really hard to undo things like this, sometimes impossible. Post a clip as an mp3 and I'm sure a few people here can lend a hand.
 
What do you mean by saturation? If the dynamics are gone then you need Expansion. If you don't like the tone then use EQ.
 
It's the opposite of compression and you use an Expander. You haven't described the problem very well so it's hard to say what you need to do.
