People,
Have been metering all my final mix bounces in WaveLab to get the peaks & RMS just right before sending a burn off to the CD replication house.
Now I find out that WaveLab's "VU Meter", as part of their Level/Pan Meter (which measures the RMS), doesn't conform to AES-17 specs; & is in fact 3.01 dB lower in it's RMS display!
Can someone recommend me a good (& AES-17 accurate) software metering system?
I've heard a lot of good things about Spectrafoo, but have some budget constraints at the same time. Is there anything as good (perhaps with primarily more metering & less analysis) for less money?
Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks,
mark4man
