General Tidy Up

Can someone help please ? Cubase Elements 7 : I seem to have forgotten how to trim the begining and end of a track and how to insert silence at the beginning and eliminate those creaking chairs amd muffled coughs, plus isthere some thing I can do as a final touch to get that "pro polish" effect, Thanks a lot, Dave

Put the selector cursor over the bottom left or right of the event (region) and slide left or right. No need to insert silence as you won't get any noise if there isn't an event on a track. Just cut, edit and use small fades.

Thanks Mo, how do I create a small fade ? I can only do a very long one at the moment ! thanks again,

Top left or right of the event (region).

Every event has 5 handles. Top corner ones are fades, bottom corner ones slide the event start and end, the one in the middle/top adjusts volume.
