EQ Buyer's Remorse?

Hello all, I recently got back into recording my own music after years of dormancy. I just bought an ART EQ351 (single channel, 31 band) to replace my old Alesis M-EQ 230. I also bought a Peavey PV6 USB mixer. I have a Zoom G2.1u for my guitar. My Zoom unit is stereo output only, so I figured I can't go directly into the EQ; it has only mono input/output. So I thought, use the EQ through the effect send of my mixer.
Stupid me, I'm sending a stereo signal into a mono EQ and I'm losing my stereo effect when I turn up the effect send. The thing is though, I haven't shopped for equipment in a long time. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but, it seems like all the dual-channel EQ units I come across do not have a stereo-master/dual-mono capability. That's why I went with mono. That's why I got rid of my Alesis M-EQ 230. It seems ridiculously inefficient to have to adjust the sliders identically for a dual-channel unit. Am I missing something?

As graphic EQ's (especially 1/3 octave 31-band units) are typically only used for tweaking stage monitors, it would really be inefficient for them to *have* ganged controls. You're using one for a rather unusual task. I can think of a few digital units that can copy/paste settings and snapshots and such, but still, it's a fairly odd use for a graphic EQ.

THAT SAID - The effects send on your board is mono, no? I'd think the return would be stereo, but if you're looking to EQ the send, that should be a mono signal anyway.

Well, that's unfortunate, but also good to know that I'm using it for an unusual purpose. I guess to me, the unusual thing is that my Zoom unit is stereo output only! I actually have more regrets about that than my ART EQ.

My mixer is a mono-send/stereo-return. I guess I didn't really think about what to expect when I plug into my stereo input channels.
