How do you properly mix an acoustic song? I want to achieve something like this for my EP.

I love how it was mixed together and I really love the sound of the vocals. Can you give me some tips on how can I achieve this?

PS: I have a Scarlett 2i2 as my audio interface and Audio Technica AT2020 for my condenser microphone. Thanks! :)

I'm not hearing anything at all "special" going on in there... On the first one, the guitar is actually rather thin (something is adding the bottom here and there - keyboard? Chapman? Or there is a poorly set maul-the-band compressor on the guitar...) and even the space sounds very odd - but the vocal sounds fine. The other is a bit nicer with the guitars but nothing unusual.

Long story short -- In a really well-controlled space, with his guitar and his voice, that mix should be easy. Without, another story. Just about every mix is 95% the source.

You'd probably be better served posting in the MP3 clinic -- But long story short, I'm hearing a really odd space in there. Not sure if it's an "unusual" verb -- Or (more likely?) an odd space. The guitar seems to be okay from what I can tell, but the vocals seem reeeeally sibilant and overly-detailed.

I know I tend to beat dead horses, but it could be as simple as using an overly-bright / overly detailed condenser when a slow, moving-coil dynamic would be much better suited to your voice and the space.

That said, I don't know the gear, or the space, or the processing used to make this.
