As we go forward in the world of Audio Engineering more active monitoring is prevalent. We also see a little more active monitoring for mastering slowly popping up. Most have B&W/Dynaudio/Tyler and an Amp Brystons/Clasee/Krell with the best cabling money has to buy. Active monitoring is non of the sort simple monitor with built in amp and cabling. Some say the sound quality can be better than passive because all the routing of sound, wiring/cabling is out of the equation which leads to better playback. ME what is your take on Passive vs Active monitoring in mastering?
