Mastering

Just a quick thought....

....I have been running my mix downs through a software called "T-Racks".

It seems to be a reputable program, and I like the sound I get afterwards. At least, it's "mastered" enough to me likiing.

I just use the pre-sets, depending on what preset sounds best for what song. IT's extrememly easy to use.

I think you can download a demo somwhere.

There seems to be an infection of this going around...

Hey, I offered future paying business to the person who helped me on my project! :) .

In a way, I think it's good that all these people are at least trying to find outside help to master instead of slapping on the cracked Waves L2 and smushing it from here to the moon!

I love the "crack dealer pitch" in reverse. "Please give me some free crack today and I'll be back for more that I'll pay for next time." The problm is, once the dealer knows that you want it already, they have no incentive to offer the freebie. No need to create a demand that's already there.

The other problem is that some people get the impression that freebie mastering sounds the same as professional mastering.
