Crane Song Ibis -- It's the regular one, but I had Sean mod it for me -- First, it's matched up better than just about any Ibis on the planet. Second, the swing is +/- 6dB like the "M" version (instead of the stock 12).

Dangerous BAX -- Hell, I bet it's the only piece in the rack "as-is" from the factory. Surprisingly, probably used on nearly every project that comes through (along with the STC-8M).

The EQs I'm using now are GML 8200 - Bax (hardware) and RenEQ (software)

I got the GML because I used to have this equipment dealer who would just drop stuff off for me to check out and if it was awesome I would just let him know he couldn't have it back and in turn, I would have to pay for it. I'm in no hurry but will most likely swap out EQ's this year.

This is the new Eq I'm looking at getting: Knif Soma EQ problem is it's a little expensive. (8K)

Thx for sharing that Waltz I like hearing about great Audio Manufacturers that no one knows about are that are not marketed on a large scale. I love it.

One of the most underrated paras I've ever used is the Tascam PE-40. I love it and have used it for years for mastering. Lots of bang for the buck. I don't use software EQ, but I master to 1/4" half-track analog tape. Sometimes a parametric can give you almost too much control, which leads to endless tweaking if you don't know when to stop. The PE-40 is 4-band and relatively simple to dial in a great mix in short order. It's also 4-channel, so you can use only two channels for a stereo mix or send channels 1 and 2 through 3 and 4 for even more tweakability if desired.

If I need more than 6dB of -- anything -- the mix has bigger problems than which EQ I'm using. The +/- 6dB gives me much finer control over the "important" range.
