Nature of Authorship?

what is the whole "Nature of Authorship" thing in the form SR for copyright registration. i read about it covering the actual recording and the underlying work. I want to cover my recordings so nobody can claim that they did them, and i have to clear any sampling that happens. can someone please explain this to me. to be honest, i sent in my first song 3 months ago, and in this box, i put "Ambient Love Song", which was the nature of the song. i am very confused.
 
I think that means if you authored it for hire or for youself. It been a long time since I filled one of those out.
 
You would define all points of authorship that pertains to you in that box.. i.e. If you wrote the music, lyrics and played on the recording that you sent in for registration you would put in something like: "Sound recording, music, musical arrangement, lyrics"
