Having songs sung by both male and female singers on demo?

So if I'm putting together a songwriting demo to market to the country industry, does it help or hurt to have some songs sung by a female and some by a male on the same demo?

As in a duet demo or as in two different demos?

If it's a duet, you pretty much would have to have both parts for it to make sense.
If you're talking about doing alternate male/female versions of the same demo, it might help? All you'd be risking is a bit more time/money spend on studio/performer/etc. right? Is the increased versatility of the song worth the increased cost?

Actually I was referring to a demo with three different songs, two sung by a female and one by a male.
Keep in mind, I don't even know if people make demo cd's any more, so it may be a moot point.

I don't know, but I'd think that a mix like that would be somewhat dubious. Who are you trying to pitch it to? Is it someone who will be interested in buying a variety of music or just hits in 1 specific genre?
