Recording Vocal Patterns

Hello.. I just wanna ask how you guys record all your tracks.. How many tracks do you usually record for the verses and chorus as rap.. And for R&B chorus, how many tracks do you guys usually record..
What I do is.. I record 4 seperate tracks for the verses (rap)
1 = lead
2 = left channel
3 = right channel
4 = partial dubs

I just wanna know if this is right..
About the mixing, how do you put delay or reverb effects for the partial dub, synchronizing with the bpm of the beat..
Can you guys suggest a mixing technique regarding to hiphop/r&b music?

Hip Hop

1 Main Vocal
1 Adlib thats close to the main vocal
1 Feel in ( for enhancing certain parts)
1 shit talk ( with bogus bull to add spice)

1st = run straight up the middle

The rest pan left and right,, not to much pan for either one.

Just spread them a little. Try to fund a pan that wont fight the music or a instrument.

Regarding your patterns, do you apply any effects in the main vocal or just leave it raw? For the other tracks, what other effects do you usually apply? For adlibs? For Feel-Ins? I know that you usually apply phone effects for the "bogus bull"
Do you apply Delays and reverbs? Do you apply the same effects/patterns with the chorus part?
