I´ve found a post from a user that was asking on "how to start" making music.
The Platform is really up to you... you can use Mac or Pc, whatever you like more. The DAW is also not really important... it depends on how much the interface and functions feel comfortable to you. Whatever you like the most, use it.
It´s more about the techniques and the Sounds you are using. Every Genre has it´s specific techniques and every producer has it´s favorite Software products he likes to work with.
