I'm in correspondance with a particular rap group (who I won't name here). They told me to send them a CD of my vocals backed by whatever beat. They will send this with their stuff when they get mixtape opportunities.

I plan on recording myself at a studio but I don't know what to do about the beats. I have ACID Music Studio (no hardware) but I don't really have much of an idea about making hip hop beats with it.

Also, does anyone here have any "surplus" beats they'd be willing to release freely (I'd credit the producer who did it).

Hmmm...they will send what when they get mixtape ops?

if you cant find anyone to help you out..you can always use instrumentals of popular songs for your demo..

tryin to figure out what they doin with your music..
 
I trust the brothers in this group (I have good reason to). They're pretty much going to count me as a group member as far as mixtapes go.

Hmm.. Still D.R.E. is givin me ideas...
