Any suggestion on Snare samples?

hey, i'm not happy with the snare sample i have in Reason's redrum. I'm looking for something that is dry and has more resonance and sustain... is there any tips i can use to modify the original sample or does anyone know of any free, good snare samples??

Ya. The samples they give you when you buy Reason aint the hot.

Try layering different snares if you can. And in Redrum you can change the tone using the "Tone" control. I recommend making layer sessions where you make custom sounds. Use the NN-XT to layer many snares together. Then export it as a wav file to use in other sessions.
