Where do I find the 'line in'?

I have soundblaster live.
I've read where everyone says to use the 'line in' on the sound card for mic and guitar.
I've looked on the back of the sound card and see nothing that says 'line in'.
Only some etchings in the metal that have no meaning to me, yet. Well, I do recognize the mic icon, but the rest is just etchings.
I didn't get a SBL book when I got this computer.
I've tried using the mic in every input, but only the one with the mic icon etched in the metal near an input works.

I went into the SBL software program and found the mixer and speaker window. I found an icon for 'line in' and clicked that. The name 'line in' appeared in the little box. The mic still sounds the same, and still no matter what input hole I put the mic or my guitar into only the one with the mic icon works.

My headphones are in the light green input,
and I use the light red input for my mic/guitar.

Anyone know what I'm not doing, or over doing?
Anyone know what the other three inputs are for on the soundcard? There are five inputs, and I'm using two, one for headphones and the other for the mic/guitar.

Thanks.

Ok, I got it to workin'.
On the SBL mixer is a thing called 'Tab in'. In there is an option for line in. Sure gonna need some preamping.
Anyway, thank for the help, Zoetrope.

I was a bit frigid, Gidge. Why, I've never done anything like this before.
