Speaker setup question...

I have a set of Fostex PS-3 powered monitors I use with a Roland VS-880. Recently I've been using Cool Edit Pro for a little multitracking on the computer, and my Altec-Lansing cubes speakers are not cutting it for mixing down in CEP. I was wondering if using the Fostex speakers on my computer would in any way damage them or screw with the sound at all. I wouldn't think they would...being shielded, but wanted a second opinion. And was wondering if having the Roland right next to the computer would mess with anything....thanks
 
My Event's are shielded too, and I can get them within about 6" from my computer monitor without the screen doing funny things. You should be okay.
