So I just picked up a Roland td-12 and Superior Drummer 2.0 because I saw the incredible sounds the software produced as opposed to Rolands pre packaged samples. My question is, if I connect the module via midi to USB or whatever have you to my computer, will I be able to hear Superiors drum samples play back in real time? I appreciate any feedback
Iv been interested in getting a similar drum kit so I could trigger Superior drummer...I know that I can trigger Superior Drummer with my Axiom...so you should be able to make it work with the drum triggers...
I'm 98% sure the answer is yes. The reason I'm not 100% sure is because I've not tried it personally.
If you are connecting your headphones (or monitor) to your computer or laptop (or whatever is outputting the sound of Superior drummer), you'd be able to hear it while playing.
If your plugging your headphones or other listening device into the TD-12 module itself, then I'm pretty sure you would not be able to hear the Superior drummer samples being triggered; only the stock sounds from the module.
