Problem with latency...

Hello all...

I own an electro-acoustic guitar which is pretty nice...

I often play it with electric effects in FL 9 using my laptop..

But I face 1 problem n that is bad latency...

either i use guitar rig 4 or hardcore vst, the problem remains the same...

any help??:confused:

Laptop : Dell Inspiron 15R
  • Intel Core i5
  • 4GB DDR3 RAM
  • 1 GB ATI Raedon dedicated graphics
  • 500 GB HDD
  • Windows 7 Home Premium x64

and guitar is Pluto Jumbo with Digital equilizer & Tuner
 
Well there goes the suggestion I was going to offer. Can you lower the buffer/latency setting? This is the way to lessen latency with most soundcards. I strongly suggest you purchase an external interface (soundcard). Even a cheap one will give you WAY better results.
 
I used to have a lexicon Alpha that was around $100. I have heard of cheaper. I would plan ahead and think of what you might want in the future though. I'm sure you could do a search on this site and find a whole bunch of opinions.
