PC Requirements for Multi-Track Recording.

Last year I purchased a Pre Sonus Audio Box interface for my laptop. I installed the software that was included (Studio One Artist). Everything ran smooth, however at some point, in every recording I made, I would have a random "click" sound in the recording.

That laptop is now deceased. It was an Acer with 2 gigs of ram, 32 bit Operating System running Windows Vista...not sure of the CPU.

Anyway, I recently purchased a new laptop. It's a Toshiba Satellite Pro 755.

I know very little about computer processors but under system, in the properties menu it reads:

Intel (R) Core (TM) i-3 2310m CPU @ 2.10 GHz

It has 6 gigs of ram

64-bit Operating System

It came installed with Windows Home Premium and Service Pack 1

I simply want to record with multitrack software Studio One, Cubase, or whatever.

Studio One's system requirements on their website don't help as they don't even mention i-3, 5 or 7.

I would think that this laptop would have enough power and memory to multitrack with most programs, Studio One, Cubase, Cakewalk.

Does my laptop meet or exceed the recommended requirements? I would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

These are the system requirements from the Pre Sonus website.
