Noisy mic?

Im having noise problems when using a tascam us 200 interface and plugging in a condensor mic. Its not terribly loud but is there and very annoying. Hardly any noise comes through when i crank all levels so its not pc or interface noise so im guessing cheap mic? Its been banged around a bit too. Noise only gets louder when the mic is plugged in so logic says its the mics fault right?
 
sounds like the mic might have some un-shielded cables or something - what kind of mic is it?
