helium tracks.

OK, So I recorded in 48000, and Im pretty done with a track so I resample it to 44100, and when I play it on my computer.. it sounds sped up, like im on helium. BUT! when I burn those same tracks to disc, they're fine. Also, when the helium is on, the seconds tick by a touch too fast. What the solution??

ps It happens with either CEP OR Soundforge..

and I have a:
overclocked celeron
128MB
Mixtreme TDIF card.
