Hopefully, I'm not asking this for the umpteenth time. I'm a newbie, so bear with me.
System:
Windows 7 64bit
Quad Core AMD 3.2Ghz
E-Mu 1212 PCI
ART USB Dual Pre
Patchmix DSP
Cubase 5
No physical mixer being used
Okay, so my question is: Is it possible to route my headphone channel in Cubase 5 into the onboard audio and send it via usb to my Dual Pre for monitoring? Going thru Patchmix, I haven't found any way to send the signal back to the PC soundcard.
I'm aware that I don't have the hottest equipment, but it's what I can afford to start with. With a little success, I'll happily upgrade. Until then, slamming my system isn't going to help me get the result I need.
