converters damaged beyond repair?

maybe someone can help me with this one: there´s a fostex vc8 adat converter box on ebay for cheap - it´s damaged/not functional because of usage with the wrong power supply!

would you think it to be damaged beyond repair? or would you think that this just has to be some "minor" problem which doesn´t cost a fortune to solve?

Sounds pretty bad but you may be lucky and it's only a fuse. You might try calling a Fostex repair tech and see what they say.
