I'm getting ready to reinstall WIN 2K. This time with the standard PC HAL rather than ACPI. My new mobo has an option in BIOS to enable or disable ACPI, but it's greyed out so I can't change it to disabled. Does anyone know how to change this, or is it unimportant if standard PC is specified during the Windows install. And why would they create the option in BIOS if they weren't going to let you change it?
