The echo laya 3g 8-channel PCI looks better and has mic inputs with preamps, but I can get a separate 4 channel mic pre-amp for $80 to go with the Audiotrak Maya 1010 giving it more analog inputs and more pre amped mic inputs. The audiotrak maya is a few hundred dollars cheaper, but I don't want to sacrafice price for quality if the Audiotrak isn't comparable. Does anyone know if the difference between the two as far as quality and latency?

i could be wrong but a 4 channel preamp for 80 bucks sounds sketchy.
and with the Layla 3G, if you use the ADAT lightpipe, you get 8 more inputs, definately worth using in my opinion, they are tidier and simple to use.
