Does that sound card have Windows 8 drivers yet? I've seen others having problems with this issue.

4G RAM is ok, but see if you can bump it up. I got 6K on my HP from Staples.

Yah. Another 4GB stick is only $25 and I'll be dropping a SSD in there in due course.
