Zoom R8 Headphone issue

I hope this is the right forum category for this.

I just got a Zoom R8 today. I find it super easy to use. Now, I have a pair of computer headphones I'm plugging in... I just put an 1/8th to 1/4 adapter on it and plugged it in. However, I'm only getting sound out of my LEFT ear. I read somewhere that you have to make sure the tracks are in mono and not stereo, but I checked and each track is mono, from what I understand. What else could be causing this issue?

I ran my output the same way (just general Logitech computer speakers) that I put the 1/8th to 1/4 adapter on and put it into OUTPUT (L) and it plays through all speakers. It's just the headphones that seem to be the issue.

I plug the headphones into something else and I get sound out of both earphones, so I know it's not the headphones.

Is the heaphone plug plugged all the way in to the adapter? Are you sure the adapter is any good? You don't say whether the adapter was on the headphones when you tried them with something else.
