it says that on a sticker on my comp, i dont know if that is the sound card or not
and i'm new at this
can i plug a keyboard into my mic input? or do i have to plug it into my keyboard input? they are both located in the back
but someone said i had to connect it to a midi interface
what do i need to do
please help

It's a sound card, or possibly the guts of a sound card but incorporated directly onto the motherboard. It should have a couple of input jacks, one labeled Mic and one labeled Line In. The card likely has a MIDI interface but you typically need a special adapter to connect MIDI cables, if it's made in the typical Sound Blaster mold like most are...

If you want to record the audio from your keyboard, it would go into the Line In. If you want to send MIDI messages to the computer to play the XG wavetable synth on the card, you would connect the MIDI Out of the keyboard (assuming it has one) to the MIDI In on the sound card adapter thingie.
Hope this helps...
