I am going to need a new sound card. I was considering an internal card versus a USB interface. What is the advantage/disadvantage of one over the other? Is there greater latency with a USB connection? It would be great to have the mobility for use on my laptop as well, but it is worth it? Any suggestions, comments? I am just getting involved in Home Recording and don't want to make a massive investment in it until I progress a little further.
