Win 98 or Win 2000 with SONAR and Delta 1010?

Using SONAR and a Delta 1010.

SONAR supposedly has fast capabilities with Windows 2000, however I have heard from people that Windows 2000 will hog your RAM. I have Windows 98 on my recording computer right now, and I also have Windows 2000 so I could switch it with no outlay of cash. What do you guys/gals think?

Personally I'm running Sonar and my Delta 1010 on Win ME (no boo's please).

However, the consensus on the Sonar newsgroup seems to be either Win2000 or XP - with the very latest WDM drivers. Since you have 2000, I would say go for it.

The drivers are version .26 I believe. They are available on the German site ( http://www.midiman.de/d_delta.htm#2000 ). I think they are also on the US site, but I had trouble connecting to it tonight.

Regardless of what hardware someone is using, I would say if you have drivers for 2000, that would be the better way to go. However I am still using Win98 myself. If you are happy with what you have,.... don't worry.
