ok.. if I want to do professional level recording mixing and mastering...

Can i use Cakewalk suite 9?
is there something better?

How much processing power should i get in the pc? and ram?

lastly... How big a difference does it make for a guitar to be recorded in 48khz vs 96khz?

thanks

sorry man, but all depends in the money you have to spend.

professional means: 1.the quality or 2.that you want to get pay for your work?

1. a loooooooot of RAM

2. how much are the bands that your gonna work with pay you?
you can´t use the best mics and spend your money in a very good equipment if you dont have bands that gonna pay for it.

believe me, everybody wants the best of the best... so get "all" you can get.

I have no knowledge of suite 9...

As much processor as you can afford...Pentium III 800 would be nice...probably not necessary to have more than 192 meg of ram.

The biggest difference would be how much harddrive space would be needed.

thanks
