WavePro 496 $299!!! vs. Delta 44

that's Bayview Pro Audio, http://www.bayviewproaudio.com/

I got one there too and I love it... they throw in a free copy of Samplitude Project, a "lite" version of Samplitude multitrack recording software... but I'm sure the Gadget Labs card is terrific too, and I think it comes with somebody's lite sw too.

I've been mulling over this same question for weeks now... I've decided to go with the Waves 4/96. The breakout box seems to be a little more well designed- It just looks more solid in the pictures :D(shut up doofus)
My main reasons are that Gadgetlabs has really good customer support (they got back to me in one day and and I don't even own one!) and I really like the way the cards are able to syc together. (I'll have two eventually- maybe soon at this price!) You just get this little $9 cable to hook them together and they share the same clock. (way smart!) Also the Waves 4/96 has an ADAT option while the the 44 dosen't- only Delta's 1010 has an an ADAT option. If I was going for an 8 input card then the 1010 would be my choice however...

Anyway- happy buying...
