Using Mic & Interface with Windows 8 Phone?

Hi friends,

Apologies if this is a stupid question as I'm a newbie to homerecording but would like to know if it would be possible to connect a mic and pre-amp / interface to a windows 8 phone?

My phone contract is nearly coming to an end and just wondering if this would work then it would be very convenient.

If this is possible would it give the same result as using a pc with windows 8 or is the windows 8 on the mobile phone a cut-down version?

Would it also be possible to download Audacity?

Hope you can help me here as this has been on my mind a very long time?

I really doubt it will work. I mean how do you connect the interface? Via mini usb connector? I don't think it can even read a memory stick.
