USB static noise in my speakers

Funktion Key

New member
I have a ECHO 2 USB interface for sound which is supposed to be very reliable.

I get this problem with one of my computers only...on my laptop I get perfectly clear sound.

I get a hissing sound in my speakers and I can here some noise when let's say I push a key on my kb or move the mouse.

I tried unpluging all usb devices, even unpluged, monitors and harddrive, and LAN, but the hissing sound was still there. Even with the computer off I still get a bit of sound (less). I tried other power sources, other power cable, same problem.

Can this be a problem with my motherboard? power supply?

This a new computer:

Intel I7-3770 CPU , 16G RAM, 256G SSHD, No pagefile, Windows 7 sp1, Echo 2 USB audio interface (ASIO4all drivers), Cubase 7, Waves Gold 9, NI Komplete 9, NI Maschine Mk2, M-Adio Axiom 49, Korg R3, PreSonus FaderPort.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I suspect its your monitors themselves making the 'hiss'. No idea about the sound when you press a computer key, though!

i just did this and it solved the problem. I don't understand why line out wasn't grounded just like the headphone's output.
