Any thoughts as to why my Roland VS880 will not recognize the SB Live soundcard when digital coax is connecting them and all connections are proper? (SBLive SPDIF out to VS880 SPDIF in)
Have you checked the clocks of your devices? The source sound, clock should be set "Int / Internal" (for a small installation), and you have to make sure the VS is set as "External clock" when you record in digital.
Make sure also that the sampling rate is the same everywhere.
