Soundblaster Live Question. Hearing existing tracks while recording

I've posted a similar question on
the Newbie Board but maybe this forum
is more applicable to my predicament.





Basically, I can't hear the digital
audio on a previously recorded track
while trying to add a bass line track
or lead track etc. I'm playing thru a
POD, connecting to Line in at my Sound
Card.

My main question is ---- Is the
Soundblaster Live (Full Version)
a full duplex or half duplex card?
If half duplex, I guess i'm SOL.
But if it's full duplex, how do I hear
what I'm trying to record to?

I'm using Cakewalk Guitar Studio software.
