I've been sifting through the endless list of PCI sound cards available. I've noticed a lot of sound cards like the SB line which are designed more for the average home user.
What I'm looking for is a nice 24/96 card (or card with junction box) that has at least two inputs (preferably 1/4" or the XLR/1/4" combo jacks).
I've looked at Aardvark's Direct 24/96 and the Q10, Echo Mona, Gina, etc, and the M-Audio studio cards and packages.
My goal is to use it to record voice with a tube mic (I don't require phantom power, but it would be a nice option), and electric guitar.
Any suggestions?
One last thing...I use Fruity Loops for some of my work, but the sound card I currently have really sucks. If I purchased say the Aardvark 24/96 would or should I get a dedicated card for internal audio as well?
Thanks in advance...
