I have been using a version of Cakewalk from the early 90's, and I am interested in getting a new sequencer as well as getting into digital recording.
I use music notation scoring a lot, and I was wondering which sequencers were doing a good job of it nowadays.
I really like having a wide range of MIDI editing options which I never thought my old version of Cakewalk had.
My older Dr. T's (commodore 128) has far superior editing by comparison, so I hope the PC market has evolved since the 90's and has become comparable.
Clearly good digital recording is important too, but I am not familiar with it yet.
