In cool edit pro I can record a mixed down cd from the cd rom drive and add extra tracks to it in multi track.very handy if you record elsewhere and decide you want to add to it.
I don't think logic can do this unless I plug in an external cd player..What other software can?

Adeptec Ez Cd will convert your cd track to a wav and put it on your hard drive. Alot of the encoder software will do this too, Windows Media 7.0, Musicmatch, and Real Player.

Thanks but I have a problem.
I don't think logic will accept wave files(I want to use logic or simuler program instead).I want to stay away from cool edit for a while.I first have to record into logic and then it converts to wave file .The problem is logic won't recognise the cd-rom as a source.Unlesss someone knows how to.
So if there is a simuler program to logic out there that would be cool. thanks again..
