So my recording equipment is as follows:
MacBook Pro
Apple Logic 9
M-Audio Profire 2626
Shure Beta 58
Shure SM 58
AKG C1000
When I record guitars I always seem to get a very thin sound that has a tinny, high gain feel. I know that Ratatat recorded songs like "17 Years" with Apple Logic and minimal equipment, and I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some tips that might help me achieve a more full, powerful sound?
The sound isn't quite as bad when recording a clean guitar, but when fuzz is applied the outcome is awful.
