Problem with E-MU 1212 ADAT Transfer

I've been recording with this card for a couple years using the analog i/o.Windows XP and Audacity.I'm now trying to
record to A DAT machine using optical i/o but getting no signal.When I hit the ADAT Transfer tab I get nothing.Can
anyone help?
