I have the M-audio mobilepre interface with the pro tools SE loaded and running in my laptop. Just purchased an Alesis multimix8usbfx mixer that comes with cubase LE5 software (not installed).....Is this a one or the other situation in terms of using the mixer?? My moniters and/or head phones work fine thru the mobile pre,but when I attempt to bring in the mixer and switch things around I find I cant get playback with monitors thru mixer. With the head phones connected to the mixer i can hear the tutorials from the pro tools soft ware,but none of the recordings I have done. I have set my laptop controls so that it should be using the mixer as its default setting,but it appears only things other then the pro tools is playing,and only through the head phones,can not get anything at all via mixer and moniters.
