Presonus Studio one won`t launch in Windows 8.1 api-ms-win-crti1-1-0.dll is missing

Hi .. back at it after a couple years ..running windows 8.1 and trying to launch Studio one 3. When I try it has an error that says " the program can`t start because api-ms-win-crt-string l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer,, Ty

Turn off UAC.

Second stab - try running the EXE for the program as admin. [if this works there's steps to set the file to always run as admin]

Third... uninstall, reboot, and reinstall trying the same procedure to run the installer as admin (assuming it's not a MSI file, which only runs administratively).

you are almost guaranteed to be missing some necessary updates for 8.1

There is a thread at Presonus:
Look in the studio one settings directory for a file called studio one.log
%appdata%presonus/studio one 3 directory.

This will tell you where its failing etc.

Thanks everyone ..it fixed itself after 2nd reboot .... you were right about the updates I think..thanks for the links too you guys Aloha!
