personal installation disaster...!

Hi I posted this same request on theCubase forum, but it might be better here. You are kind and lovely people, so help me out!

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 with turtle beach sound card. I have plugged my Yamaha P150 into it, to use both a MIDI controller, and sound source.

Now, I can't get it to play any of the P150's on-boardsounds, nor will it play the weird default sound that is coming out of it in time to me hitting the keys.

Please help...

My yamaha keyboard does this from time to time following reprogramming by my cat. The cure has always been sending a GM or GS reset sysex message to the keyboard. Does your MIDI software support sysex messages?
